The machine had 1.5GB of RAM, and we<br /> elected to go with xubuntu. Everything worked on the first try.<br /> <br /> The x200s was more challenging: xubuntu didn&#039;t recognize the laptop&#039;s<br /> wireless card.<br /> <br /> According to<br /> https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Lenovo_ThinkPad_X200#Wireless,<br /> this model has an Intel Wireless 5100 AGN chipset, and uses the<br /> iwlwifi driver.<br /> <br /> The modprobe configuration disabled this driver at boot.
